Core Concepts
Understanding the key concepts that power LokkoLabs experiences.
The Spy Theme
LokkoLabs delivers team-building experiences wrapped in a spy agency narrative. Participants become secret agents attending CONTROL Academy for elite training in lock-picking and infiltration.
This theming extends throughout the platform:
- Codenames - Each attendee receives a spy codename (e.g., "Shadow Falcon")
- Agent Numbers - Unique identifiers (#10 - #99)
- Cover Jobs - Humorous fake professions (e.g., "Artisanal Cheese Whisperer")
- Missions - The main challenge phases
- Ranks - Performance-based titles ("Elite Operative", "Senior Agent", etc.)
Agent Identity System
Each participant receives a unique, generated identity with three components:
Codename
Adjective + Animal
Shadow Falcon

Team Organization
Attendees are organized into teams, each assigned to a physical table. Teams are identified by color and number.
For larger events, colors can be reused with section numbers (Red 1, Red 2, etc.)
Content Segments
Each phase is composed of segments - individual content units that can contain audio, media, and activities.
| Type | Purpose | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Intro | Phase introduction | "Welcome to Training..." |
| Instruction | Step-by-step guidance | "Pick up your tension wrench..." |
| Action | Attendee activity | "Practice picking for 3 minutes" |
| Checkpoint | Progress confirmation | "Tap when ready to continue" |
| Transition | Phase handoff | "Moving to the next phase..." |
| Completion | Phase wrap-up | "Training complete!" |
Content Delivery Modes
Events can deliver audio content in three different ways:
Central Audio
Room speakers or video call. Organizer controls pace.
Best for: Large venues, hybrid events
Phone Synced
Audio on phones, organizer controls timing.
Best for: Quiet venues, intimate groups
Self-Paced
Attendees control their own progression.
Best for: Async training, demos
Intelligence Network (Hunt Game)
An optional networking mechanic that encourages attendees to meet each other:
- Each agent receives target "dossiers" (cover jobs to identify)
- Agents ask around: "Who is the Quantum Cheese Diplomat?"
- When meeting the target, agents log contact using Noun + Emoji
- Agents collect the target's mascot emoji
- Team leaderboards show progress
The hunt is available throughout the event via a floating "Passport" button.
Ranking System
After the mission, teams are ranked by completion time and assigned spy-themed titles:
| Rank | Title | Commentary |
|---|---|---|
| 1st | Elite Operatives | Top of the class. CONTROL is impressed. |
| 2nd | Senior Agents | Distinguished service. Promotion pending. |
| 3rd | Proven Assets | Solid fieldwork. Keep it up. |
| Middle | Field Assets | Reliable operatives in the network. |
| Last | Sleeper Agents | Playing the long game. Very long. |
